پرورش عقل و کاربرد صحیح آن در تربیت اسلامی از جایگاه والایی برخوردار است و از مهم ترین موضوعات و مسائل فرد و جامعه به شمار میرود، زیرا اسلام دین عقل است و درک حقایق و شناخت معارف و ارتباط منطقی با مبدأ و معاد و معرفت پیامبران و امامان و شناخت طریق رشد و هدایت و تکامل انسان در زمینههای مادی و معنوی و معاش و معاد به عقل وابسته است. هر فرد یا امّتی با استفاده از تربیت عقلانی میتواند وضع حال و آینده خویش را روشن سازد و آرمان هایش را محقق نماید. برای پرورش عقل، روشهایی در منابع اسلامی ذکر شده است که این روشها توازن عقل را حفظ و راهیابی آن به سمت علم صحیح را میسر میسازد. معلّمان و مربیان باید در نظام تعلیم و تربیت اسلامی این مهم را در صدر فعّالیتهای آموزشی و پرورشی خویش قرار دهند و بیش از بیش برای پرورش عقلانی دانش آموزان بر مبنای دستورالعملهای صادره از قرآن و اهل بیت: که مطمئن ترین منابع میباشند،همّت گمارند. به همین جهت در این مقاله سعی بر آن داریم که بر مبنای سخنان امام هشتم7، به عنوان نمونهای از دریای بیکران علم الهی به روشهایی موزون و قابل اتکا در جهت پرورش عقل دست یابیم.

Abstract
This research, which is an applied research, has been carried out for examining methods of intellectual education on the basis of Imam Reza’s statements. The method of this research is descriptive – analytic, the method of information gathering is documental, the method of analyzing information is content analysis, and it has been tried to respond to this question: What are the methods of intellectual education on the basis of Imam Reza’s statements? Finally, these findings have been obtained: on the basis of Imam Reza’s statements the methods of intellectual education are dividing to two groups: the methods of educating theoretical reason and the methods of educating practical reason. The methods of educating theoretical reason are: thinking, knowledge learning, and experience obtaining. These methods are used to the first aim of intellectual education, namely knowledge. The methods of educating practical reason are purification of the soul. This method is used to actualizing the second and third aims of intellectual education, namely faith and action. The steps of soul purification are: neglect cleaning, penitence, asceticism, attention and accounting, and virtue.
