Abstract
This article begins by exploring the concept of the "Seal of Walayah" (the foremost Wali, distinct from the last Wali) alongside the interpretation of "the seal of prophethood" (khātam an-nabīyīn). It evaluates the philosophical implications of the conclusion of prophethood concerning its historical ramifications, particularly the rise of opposing factions that assert an understanding of divine will. The discussion focuses on the governance of society during the period following the conclusion of prophethood, critically analyzing competing theories: 1) The imperative to consult the sacred texts of the final religion in all aspects of worship and worldly affairs (such as agriculture and medicine) 2) Mohammad Iqbal's proposition to supplant inductive reasoning with revelation in contemporary time 3) Abdolkarim Soroush's proposition of the perpetual authority of revelation while negating the legitimacy of divine interpreters. The article posits a favored stance: the authority of revelation in worship practices and the supremacy of reason in secular matters, all while respecting the boundaries set by revelation. The author reasons that the lasting nature of the final religion is rooted in this theological viewpoint.
