Abstract
Based on narration, Ash'ari scholars believe that God can be seen and believers can see God with their eyes in the hereafter. This opinion of Ash'areh faced changes in their historical process of thought. Fakhr Razi is one of the Ash'ari thinkers whose theory is different from the Ash'aris before him due to the development of his spiritual and historical conditions. He considered the vision of God in the hereafter as a kind of sixth sense or intuition, and in this way, he accepted the view accepted by Imamiyyah centuries ago in the light of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (Alaihem al-Salam). Allameh Heli is the first Shia theologian who seriously criticized the views of the Ash'aris in his various works. The present study aims to express and compare the thoughts of these two great Shia and Ash'ari theologians, which reveals hidden and important aspects of the nature of Shia and Ash'ari theology. The result is that the position of the sixth sense in Fakhr Razi's latter view has a very close similarity with Allameh Heli's belief in God’s being visible by heart intuition. That’s because both are based on non-sensory perceptions.
